The VCT 2021 EU & NA Last Chance Qualifiers are now in the books as Team Liquid and Cloud9 Blue both punched their tickets to the year’s biggest tournament, Valorant Champions, in December.
- Cloud9 Blue wins NA Champions spot after 3-0 sweep over Rise.
- Team Liquid secures EMEA Champions spot with 3-1 win over Guild.
- Favorites XSET, 100 Thieves fall at final hurdle.
Teams that hadn’t yet punched their ticket to Valorant Champions had one final opportunity to do so during the Last Chance qualifiers in October. While eight teams from NA and eight from EU battled for the remaining spots, only one in each region was able to make it through. Here’s how the Last Chance Qualifiers played out across the two territories.
NA & EU VCT LCQ recap
Although the NA LCQ kicked off on October 12, games were postponed after the first day of action. Matches resumed on October 27, however, with all remaining games taking place online.
Moreover, the NA tourney was initially also due to feature ORDER and Chiefs, but the Oceanic duo were forced out of the event due to travel issues.

Once action resumed it was just a matter of days before Cloud9 Blue proved their worth in an epic lower bracket run. After falling short to Rise in the Upper Bracket semifinals, C9 went on to win three high-stakes matches in a row to secure the Grand Final rematch.
When the two NA juggernauts clashed again, it was C9 that dominated to a 3-0 sweep, even securing a 13-0 map win on Split in the process.
Meanwhile, for the EU portion of the event, it was Team Liquid that proved unstoppable. Cruising through the upper bracket without tasting defeat, they soon crushed Guild in the Grand Finals to secure their spot at the Champions event.
