The Radical Heights trademark has been acquired by another company – does this mean a sensational Radical Heights return is on the horizon?

Former Boss Key owner responds
Since the news of the Radical Heights trademark being bought, fans have been eager to hear some confirmatory news on the future of the 80s themed battle royale game.
Unfortunately, no such news has materialized – however, Cliff Bleszinski, co-founder of Boss Key Productions, responded to the recent support Radical Heights has received. While he doesn’t give any information as to what the future holds for the now cancelled game, he doesn’t dismiss the rumors of a return either.
Wow, #radicalheights still has a dedicated fanbase, warms my heart. I loved what we were doing, shame it didn't have more of a shot to flourish in the time and money we had. 🙁https://t.co/4qQ2J63Vi6
"I'd have expected Roiland to have better taste in friends." and this guy smh

Squanch Games
The trademark has been acquired by Squanch Games, an indie game studio responsible for the upcoming Trover Saves the Universe game. Co-founder of Squanch Games, Justin Roiland, also co-created Adult Swim’s, Rick and Morty.
While the official document says the trademark was transferred on May 7, 2019, the original source of the news, itsGerth, claims Squanch Games acquired the Radical Heights trademark on February 20, 2019 with it being approved and made active on April 3, 2019.
[ad name=”article3″]Radical Heights re-release?
This means the IP is no longer owned by the original creator Boss Key Productions. The California based video game development company shut down in May 2018 due to the poor performance of its two games, Lawbreakers and Radical Heights.
Despite performing poorly the 80s themed battle royale game was extremely popular among a hardcore contingent. That popularity remains today with lots of former players retaining hope that one day it will indeed be re-released.
The Radical Heights trademark has interestingly changed ownership…Before the trademark ownership change, the chances of Radical Heights returning were practically zero. However, now there is renewed optimism, although the chances are still on the negative side of likely.
At this stage the new owners have yet to comment on the acquisition. Various outlets have reached out for hoping for a response but they have, so far, fallen on deaf ears.
Speculation as to what the fate of Radical Heights is has increased since the news. Some believe that E3 2019 could host a shock announcement – an outcome which would undoubtedly be most favorable to Radical Heights fans.
Another theory is that as Justin Roiland and Cliff Bleszinski (the CEO of Boss Key) were known to be friends that Bleszinski sold it to Squanch Games on the cheap. The other theory which seems to be have received negatively already, is Squanch Games will create their own Rick and Morty style battle royale game – hopefully this isn’t the route they are going down.
Radical Heights was released in “X-TREME EARLY ACCESS” in April 2018. The game was played by popular streamers such as Ninja, Dr Disrespect and Shroud – all of who appeared to thoroughly enjoy playing the quirky and different battle royale game.

Radical Heights quickly found a cult following…Radical Heights on console?
With Radical Heights already failing to gain the required traction on PC, maybe the game would be more suitable on console. The graphics are relatively basic compared to other games, suggesting the likes of the PS4 and Xbox One would have no problem running it. It would also face less competition on console.
The games’ synopsis is as follows: “Welcome to RADICAL HEIGHTS, a free X-TREME Early Access BATTLE ROYALE shooter. Partake in high-stakes gunplay as you loot for weapons, gadgets, cosmetics, and CASH! Survive to the end or risk it all in this irreverent action game show where everyone wants to be rich and famous!”
