Valorant Episode 3 Act 2 has arrived. Riot have dropped a new map in Fracture, but no new Agent — at least, not yet. There’s also a handful of balance changes, the usual battle pass, and a special new skin line collab between Riot and musician Zedd.
Valorant Episode 3, named Reflection, kicked off with a bang in Act 1, with a new cinematic introducing the robotic Agent KAY/O, as well as plenty of new content.
There’s even been a crossover with League of Legends with the Rise of the Sentinels skins.
However, that might have been usurpsed with the mega collab between musician Zedd — a keen Valorant player himself — and a whole new map in Act 2. Oh, and a new Agent might be dropping mid-way through the Act.
Here’s all the details about Valorant Episode 3 Act 2.
Fracture will bring a whole new style of gameplay to Valorant.New Fracture map drops in Valorant Episode 3 Act 2
The big addition in Valorant Episode 3 Act 2 is the all-new Fracture map. Riot pushed the boundaries with the new battleground, splitting the attacker spawn in half, sandwiching the defenders in the middle.
The H-shaped layout of the map lends itself to unique strategies: Will you choose to lurk from one spawn and surprise defenders, or mount a rush as a team?
It’s the game’s seventh map, which has spawned a new player chorus pushing Riot to add some sort of “map veto” system into Valorant. The devs are exploring it for a future update, but for now, Fracture will be in rotation across all queues, so be sure to wrap your head around it with our guide.
Players are convinced new Agent Deadeye is coming to Valorant soon.‘Deadeye’ Agent potentially coming later in Valorant Episode 3 Act 2
There wasn’t a new Agent at Valorant Episode 3 Act 2’s release, but that doesn’t mean one isn’t coming soon. In fact, leakers suspect Riot are breaking the trend by releasing a new Agent mid-season.
Codenamed ‘Deadeye’, the dapper enigma was first teased in the Year One Anthem video in June. He wielded a massive sniper rifle, which led to speculation he would bring some new weaponry to Valorant.
Strings in the game’s code have also listed Deadeye as an upcoming Agent. There’s not many details outside of that, but keep an eye out in the run-up to Act 3 for a potential surprise.
The new Spectrum skins in Valorant are part of a collaboration with musician Zedd.Valorant x Zedd Spectrum skinline rivals Elderflame
Valorant’s Elderflame skin line has been untouchable since its launch — at least in Riot’s eyes. However, the dragons might have been slain by the incredible skin line collaboration with musician Zedd, titled Spectrum.
The clean skins, featuring a white body with plenty of RGB lighting and particle effects, are available on the Phantom, Bulldog, Guardian, and Classic. There’s also a Waveform melee that has some serious lightsaber vibes.
With one of Valorant’s most extravagant finishers, and sound effects made by the legendary DJ, the Spectrum skinline is certainly up there as one of the game’s best.

Killjoy’s turret was nerfed in Valorant Episode 3 Act 2.Changes to Killjoy and Raze — but no Yoru rework
A handful of balance changes were shipped in Valorant Episode 3 Act 2 to keep the meta in check.
Killjoy received quite a significant nerf on her turret, reducing the bullet tagging slow to around 30%. This allows people to escape her grasp more easily after being spotted by her robots.
Raze’s Boom Bot was also nerfed, with its maximum damage being reduced to only 80 HP — not enough to one-shot an enemy from full health. To compensate, it now costs less.
Breach, Brimstone, and Sova received some small buffs allowing their abilities to destroy certain objects like Killjoy and Cypher gadgets. However, the much-anticipated Yoru rework has been indefinitely delayed as Riot figure out the best way to balance the Japanese duelist.

Like with every new Valorant Act, there’s a new battle pass for players to grind in Episode 3 Act 2.
No surprises here: This season’s battle pass contains 50 tiers of new rewards with three new skin lines in Artisan, Nitro, and Varnish.
There’s also a few jokes — like the new Viper spray in the style of the Bernie Sanders’ chair meme — that Riot likes to throw in for fun.
