PlayStation and Xbox have been in a head-to-head battle to see who can provide the best subscription service in terms of free games. While Xbox Game Pass has now merged with EA Play (leading to a sharp drop-off for Games With Gold, some would say), PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now both keep offering high-quality titles.

With every passing month comes a whole new collection of titles, all of which are available to players for the cost of a PS Plus membership. So, without further ado, here are all the hot details about next month’s free games!

PS Plus new games (December)

In a now deleted tweet, the leaked line-up was correct once again, and players will be able to get theirs on a PlayStation-exclusive, AAA title, along with a couple of other gems too:

Godfall Challenger Edition (PS4 and PS5) – A third-person action game with loot elements, Godfall was a PS5 launch title that was met with a tepid reception, but has received substantial updates since.

Mortal Shell (PS4) – A Souls-like, Mortal Shell arrives as the PS4 version, although whether the PS5 version will also be included is anyone’s guess.

Lego DC Super Villains (PS4) – If the leak is true, then the final game will be Lego DC Super Villains, a game that’s stuffed full of iconic bad guys.

Three VR games will also be available for those using PlayStation VR, but these titles haven’t been released yet.

Seems like Godfall, LEGO DC Super-Villains and Mortal Shell are confirmed as PS+ games for December as multiple European PlayStation branches have posted about them early
