FIFA 22’s popular FUTMAS promo has had another face-lift, with EA SPORTS unveiling Winter Wildcards as the game’s new Christmas event. Ultimate Team players don’t have to wait for reveals either ⁠— the whole team has leaked online!

Christmas is just around the corner, and with the controversial FUT Versus promo now in Ultimate Team’s rearview mirror, the FUTMAS celebrations can begin.

Of course, FUTMAS as a specific concept hasn’t been seen in FIFA since 2019, but similar events have taken its place in recent years. Last time around it was Freeze, which then pivoted into Versus. Taking Freeze’s place as the festive event now is “Winter Wildcards,” a new promo.

EA SPORTS has now revealed the full lineups. Here’s everything we know.

Winter Wildcard Swap tokens & rewards

One of the many things that sets the Winter Wildcards promo apart, is its use of special Swap tokens to earn prizes. Throughout the promotion, players will be able to earn tokens, similar to ICON Swaps, which can be exchanged from Boxing Day (December 26, 2021) for festive rewards.

EA SPORTS have been dropping daily SBCs that award tokens, as well as a host of objectives, so keep an eye on both tabs to make sure you don’t miss any. There are also tokens on offer for completing regular FIFA challenges like Marquee Matchups.

Much like ICON Swaps, there is a ladder of different rewards that can be earned, either by submitting all of your tokens or breaking them up. Check out the full list of rewards on offer below:

How long is Winter Wildcards in packs?

The new FIFA 22 promo, Winter Wildcards, is here, with Team 2 now packable from FUT loot boxes. The Christmas-themed event first started on Friday, December 17, and Dexerto can reveal the upgraded Wildcard players will be in packs until Wednesday, December 29.

How do Winter Wildcards cards work?

Here’s EA SPORTS’ description of the promo:

“From supernatural boosts to shapeshifting upgrades and the powerhouses in between, Winter Wildcard Player Items will receive a variety of permanent boosts inspired by past, present, and potential future FUT player upgrades.”

Therefore, players should expect Winter Wildcards to work like the dynamic Shapeshifters from last year, with stat boosts in the mix too.

Winter Wildcards Team 2 full leaks

We’ve already had Team 1 and the following mini-release drop for Winter Wildcards and now, on the eve of Team 2’s debut, FIFA 22 insiders have got their hands on the whole squad, leaking the star-studded second batch straight onto Twitter.

According to @FutSheriff, it’s going to be a banger second lineup.

The team reportedly includes Raheem Sterling, Eden Hazard, Anthony Martial, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and even Arsenal’s first special FUT card.

Our FIFA 22 Winter Wildcards predictions

We made some predictions, and are expecting a few more players to be added in subsequent teams. The position changes usually make sense for a player’s stats, maybe giving them a little boost, whilst allowing a seamless transition to a nearby position.
