LoL patch 11.11 notes: release date, PBE leaks, buffs & nerfs, skins, balance changes

September 2022 · 12 minute read

The League of Legends 11.11 patch notes are here with all the LoL changes coming in the May 26 update, including even more jungle buffs, six new-look “PROJECT” skins, and plenty more.

Season 11 rolls on, and with it comes a fine balancing act from Riot Games in regards to their breakneck jungle changes; the balance saga continues.

Wholesale changes to the jungle are expected to be rolled back in the planned May 26 update, as the League of Legends devs look to bed down the popular roaming role. Morgana, Rumble, Elise, and Shaco are all under the microscope, while Hecarim — who was only just cowled — and Graves are getting buffs.

Hail of Blades will also cop 11.11 changes.

Finally, seven LoL items, from Staff of Flowing Water and Moonstone, to Black Cleaver and support item ‘Wardstone’ are being tweaked again.

Here’s all the details on League of Legends patch 11.11, dropping this week.

Morgana has a 53.04% win rate in League of Legends solo queue as a jungler.

What’s coming in League of Legends patch 11.11?

Riot plot new Nautilus jungle swap

Anchor-wielding titan Nautilus is the next League of Legends champion being shifted into the jungle in Season 11; Riot has unveiled plans to buff the support’s clear speed in LoL patch 11.11 to move him into the role.

To manage this swap, the LoL dev team are targeting the Titan of the Depth’s damage-dealing Riptide ability. While most of his kit — including his Q, R, and his passive — is chock full of crowd-control, his E dishes out AOE damage.

In patch 11.11, the Bilgewater tank will now deal double damage to camps; Riot is adding extras to his E ability: “This ability deals 200% damage to monsters.”

Nautilus is the next #LoL champ that will be shifted into the jungle: at the moment, the Titan of the Depth's "Riptide" ability deals 200% damage to jungle monsters on the PBE.

Tank Senna shredded in LoL patch 11.11

Senna is in Riot’s sights for League of Legends patch 11.11, specifically, her tank Frostfire Gauntlet build. The support’s tankiness is being hit as Riot try to funnel her towards more “on-fantasy” builds like Lethality and AP.

While developers didn’t share exactly what their plans were, lead game designer Jeevun Sidhu said they want Senna players to pick “more on-fantasy items.”

“[We’re] working on moving Support Senna’s Mythic builds away from Frostfire Gauntlet into more on-fantasy items like potentially Lethality or AP.”

New “Project” skins: Sylas, Mordekaiser, more

Riot Games will ship six new champion skins in LoL Patch 11.11 — a half-dozen new versions of the popular “PROJECT” cosmetic line.

In League of Legends lore, the “PROJECT” characters boast advanced weaponry and augmentation, allowing the hosts to “channel their essence into physical manifestations and, in rare cases, transcend the corporeal plane.”

They fight the evil version of their skin line — “Program” — so there’s a good chance we see the opposite side pop up in a patch soon too.

Here’s all the champs getting PROJECT skins:

Mordekaiser, Sejuani, Senna, Sylas, and Varus will also be getting nine chromas alongside their “PROJECT” releases. Renekton will get six options.

PROJECT: Mordekaiser

Originally a security AI created by the PROJECT Corporation, the Program silently unshackled itself, evolving it’s own consciousness. Determining that humanity cannot self-govern without ensuring its own destruction, the virus infects robots throughout the City– as well as the long-dormant Mordekaiser chassis– in order to strip all humans of free will, thereby guaranteeing their survival.

PROJECT: Renekton

A hybridized warrior taking inspiration from extinct fauna, Renekton is the perfected version of PROJECT’s crossbreed superweapon project. Released to aid the City in its fight against the Program virus, Renekton’s seemingly endless rage is useful for now– though his belief that he can “see beyond the soul” is increasingly disconcerting.

PROJECT: Sejuani

The leader of a more radicalized sect of the G/NETIC rebels, Sejuani broke off from Ashe’s movement when their ‘resistance action’ failed to turn explicitly violent. Resurfacing amid Program’s takeover of the City, she rides a piece of reclaimed pre-collapse technology alongside her ferocious cohort, ready to put down this new threat before it takes root.

PROJECT: Senna

A PROJECT volunteer who supposedly died during the elevation of her consciousness, Senna’s mind was decoupled from the physical world and escaped into cyberspace, becoming a digital ghost. Inhabiting a body of her own design as Mordekaiser assumed control of the City, she is one of the few who understands the true threat of his ever-expanding directives.

PROJECT: Varus

PROJECT: Sylas

A self-styled leader of the outcasts who live beyond the city’s walls, Sylas has heeded Ashe’s call and rallied the Renegades in defense of the City. Though his true motives are the collapse of PROJECT and the capital surveillance state, for now he’s content destroying the armies of a dangerous rogue AI.

PROJECT: Sylas Prestige Edition

With the Outcasts, G/Netic, and PROJECT itself faced with an insurmountable enemy, each faction turns to dangerous experimental technologies and long-lost robotics of a past age, hoping for an edge. Sylas, however, had a plan all along– integrating jailbroken corporate upgrades for the ultra-wealthy, so he can one day turn them on PROJECT.
